This week, we meet the fabulous Niamh O'Donoghue aka @culturedcuppa, journalist with Image Magazine. Working in fashion can be demanding on your wardrobe as there is a expectation to dress well every day but Niamh has this down to a fine art. This amazing lady is not only an extremely talented writer whose pieces have breathed new life in to the image.ie world but her style is one to be envied. We caught up with her to get some tips on how she pulls it all together and also some tips for the upcoming Electric Picnic.
Tell us about your outfit today?
This is my “safe” outfit – or at least a version of it. I work in fashion, so from Monday to Friday I generally have to wear nice, trendy clothes and stand out a bit more. The weekend means I get to relax a little and dress more comfortably; which usually means black and oversized.

How would you describe your personal style?
My style is constantly changing and evolving, and I like to experiment a lot. I don’t like to pigeon-hole myself and say that I have a particular look because I’m not sure if I do just yet. I love wearing structured suit pants or well-tailored trousers because they make me feel a bit powerful. But I also like wearing loose-fitting, boyish clothes too that completely cover my silhouette. And hats. I love hats. My go-to colour pallets are greys, off-whites, mint, orange, and black – obviously.
What are you most looking forward to at Electric Picnic and what are your festivals dos and don’ts?
I’m most excited about the good vibes and the atmosphere. It’s all about surrounding yourself with the right people at big festivals. DO: make an effort to meet new people. oh, and pack extra toilet roll and baby wipes. DON’T: be nasty and slash anyone’s tent. People love other sound people.
