This week we meet Grace Cahill, fashion editor of YOU magazine. Grace has a style to be envied. Her outfits always look so effortless with a 1970s bohemian feel. We got some tips on how to achieve her look and what to watch out for this summer.
Tell us about your outfit?
I’m wearing an off-the-shoulder gypsy dress from H & M. I love silhouettes that aren’t too structured so for me, this feels instinctive - very relaxed and free. The dress is from their current SS16 collection, €30. The dream-catcher pendant €22 and tassel wedges €50 are also from H & M.
How would you describe your personal style?
My style is earthy with a touch of bohmemia. I prefer wearing darker tones in Winter but when the weather gets warmer I love rich colours and folky, ethnic prints. And I’m a sucker for embellishment. I can never resist anything with tassels, beads or embroidery. Erdem and Alberta Ferretti are two designers that I fall in love with every season.
What are you most looking forward to this summer?
For Summer I’m most looking forward to the off- the shoulder story. I like shapes that don’t feel too forced and the sort of aesthetic that isn’t too styled -so a drapey shoulder feels effortless and sweet. The cut was imagined beautifully by Prozenza Schuler this season and off-set with romantic ruffles. I’m also looking to seeing how all the tiered ruffles on the catwalk, will be translated on the high street.
