The Lincon Centre in New York being awash with 6 foot beauties can only mean one thing, New York fashion week has officially kicked off. Yesterday saw Tadashi Shoji, Desigual, Marissa Webb and Meskita -as well as many more- show their Spring Summer 2015 collections. The show that everyone is talking about however, is BCBG Max Azria. The collection from designers Max and Lubov Azria was as spring as spring could be.
Bohemian inspired, sheer fabrics in soft, pastel tones, floated down the catwalk to admiration from the crowd. The fluttering, free-flowing silouhettes were accented with ribbon belts tied up on the hip, making them more wearable and flattering for the everyday woman. The ice-cream pallette that began to emerge this summer already seems to be a trend for next season; aswell as being shown on the BCBG catwalk, it appeard on Tadash Shoji, Jay Godfrey and Richard Chai. Traditional BCBG style was also adheared to as floral prints made an appearance, as they did on Whitney Pozgay's kooky offering.
New York fashion week contines until next Thursday 11th Sept.
