It’s not before time, then, that Swedish brand
Cos
has opened its first stand-alone shop in Ireland, on Dublin’s Wicklow Street. The store’s fresh and minimal interior matches the clothing: well-designed and well-considered. It’s also well-in-pocket for women and men who aspire to dress in
Jil Sander
and look a little like Tilda Swinton without cracking the credit card.
The spring-summer drop is a mish-mash of soft, grown-up pastels and lines so clean you could use them in trigonometry class. Favourites include a pink asymmetrical vest, men’s mohair trousers, a utilitarian shirt dress with handy-dandy pockets and a shimmering, dirty-lemon-coloured coat.
