Tudor Homes has submitted a planning application to Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown County Council for over 700 residential units, as well as retail and community facilities for its 35-acre landholding at Brennanstown in Cabinteely, Dublin 18.

The developer recently had a preview of its first phase of 190 apartments and houses on the site which fronts the Old Bray Road.

This time Tudor Homes is looking to build 702 apartments and duplexes in 26 buildings ranging from three to eight storeys in height as part of the €350 million scheme.

The proposal for the 9.3-hectare site is also to build a single storey educational facility and a two-storey building with retail use and a library/community hall on the first floor. Tudor Homes is also looking for 717 basement and semi-basement level car-parking spaces and 195 surface car-parking spaces.

The development is one of the few large new developments to come on the market in the area and is expected to attract a high level of interest. Sherry FitzGerald New Homes say they have a waiting list of potential buyers and that many of these are looking to trade down from bigger houses in neighbouring Foxrock and Carrickmines.

As well as acres of rolling parkland, the scheme will have an eight-acre linear park fronting the development.

The initial launch was a mix of unit types, including four-bedroom houses, two and three-bedroom duplex apartments and one and two-bedroom apartments ranging in price from €355,000 to over €695,000.

The four-bedroom houses cost from €695,000 and are 148 sq m (1,600 sq ft) over three levels with a private landscaped garden.

The official launch for the scheme will be next spring.
