The popular annual Simon Open Door campaign is on next month, so get your name in early for a consultation.

Now in its 11th year, the event, which has so far raised €400,000, sees Royal Institute of the Architects of Ireland (RIAI) members offer one-hour consultations to the public for a donation of €55, every cent of which goes to Simon Communities.

To take part in this year’s campaign, log on to simonopendoor.ie to book a consultation with an RIAI-registered architect in your area. This year’s event takes place on May 9th and 10th.

Commenting on the launch, Robin Mandal, president of the RIAI said: "RIAI Simon Open Door gives the public a great opportunity to sit down with a registered architect and get ideas for house extensions, new builds, creating more space to suit a growing family, and making your house more energy efficient.
