Employees at the Pharmaceutical Society of Ireland on Shrewsbury Road may not have to vacate their elegant offices just yet. The building, a fine Edwardian house is on the market at €25m through Colliers Jackson-Stops, which set a tender date for last week.
However, according to sales agent Peter Kenny a last minute legal hitch meant that the tender date had to be postponed for a week. Which means that there is still time to make an offer on the property. In good times the 1902 house would been considered a platinum investment - the building got a lavish €4 million refurb in 2000 and so is good for another century or so. Though it is arranged as offices, the original layout could easily be restored. It has the benefit of two apartments and a separate cottage. Tenders are expected tomorrow, unless, of course, there is another hitch.
