Co Kilkenny. The Pre-Summer Fine and Decorative Art Sale. 68 per cent of lots sold. A Victorian gypsy caravan, € 22,000 (€20,000-€30,000); a 1930 Morris Minor, €7,000 (€7,000-€9,000); a carved oak Gothic throne, €2,800 (€2,000- €3,000).

Monday, April 29th Morgan O'Driscoll Auctioneers, Irish Art sale, Clyde Court Hotel, Dublin. 74 per cent of lots sold. Self-Portrait by Séan Keating, €15,000 (€6,000-€8,000); In The National Gallery by Thomas Ryan, €3,600 (€2,500-€3,500); Peter and the Wolf by Bono, €3,200 (€2,000-€3,000).

Tuesday, April 30th Adam's, St Stephen's Green, Dublin. 800 Years: Irish Political, Literary and Military History. 78 per cent of lots sold. An original copy of the 1916 Proclamation, €96,000 (€80,000- €120,000); letter written by Harry Quinlisk betraying Michael Collins, €3,800 (€2,000-€3,000); a 1916 medal, awarded to Annie Barrett, €2,000 (€2,000- €3,000); a memorial card for Michael Collins, €380 (€300-€500).

Tuesday and Wednesday, April 30th and May 1st Sheppard's, Durrow, Co Laois. Life Study of Kneeling Woman (drawing) by Henri Matisse, €52,000 (€15,000-€25,000); cutlery allegedly used by Michael Collins on the day he died, €1,200 (€800-€1,200); Calves and Buttercups, The Lap of Luxury at Kilmurry (watercolour) by Mildred Anne Butler, €4,600 (€6,000-€9,000); a stone estate-wall fountain, €4,000 (€2,500-€3,500); Meissen clock, €3,800 (€4,000-€6,000); silver ceremonial ewer, € 6,600 (€3,000-€5,000).

J Bruce Ismay, chairman of the White Star Line, the owners of the Titanic. House contents to include furniture, art and collectibles from the estate of the late Agnes Toohey (and other estates). Viewing throughout the weekend.
