Auction results: Friday (December 5th) Bonhams, London. A Kunstkammer table-top cabinet made in Augsburg, Germany during the mid-17th century, and formerly in Ballyfin, the Co Laois home of the aristocratic Coote family, £482,500 (£400,000- £600,000).

Tuesday (December 9th) Sotheby's, London. An engraved brass plate taken from the coffin of Oliver Cromwell at his exhumation in London in 1661, £74,500 (£8,000-£12,000).
