Interiors auctions in Adam’s and de Veres tomorrow

Both Adam's and de Veres are holding Sunday "Interiors" auctions in Dublin tomorrow. The sale at Adam's begins at 11am. More than 600 lots will go under the hammer including silver, paintings and prints, furniture, porcelain, jewellery and other decorative arts.

The highlights include a pair of Irish Georgian silver salvers, made in Dublin in 1753 by John Hamilton (€15,000-€20,000); a late 17th century Antwerp tortoiseshell, ivory and bone inlaid rosewood and ebony curiosity cabinet (€5,000-€7,000).

Viewing is today in the salesroom at 26, St Stephen’s Green from 11am-5pm.

Tomorrow afternoon, de Veres ‘Interiors & Art’ Auction takes place in The Pavilion, Leopardstown Racecourse, Dublin 18 at 2pm.

It includes antique and 20th century furniture as well as pictures. Highlights include a mahogany library chair, circa 1840, purchased in 1976 at the auction of contents in Malahide Castle (€400-€600); an eight-fold Chinese screen (€1,000-€2,000); and 12 chandeliers from Kindlestown House, Delgany (no estimates supplied).
