Dublin 9 from €315,000: Seventy apartments at a stylish €150 million scheme in Santry Demesne hit the market this week, writes Kate McMorrow.
A new €150 million apartment development at Northwood in Santry Demesne, Dublin 9 launches from plans today with the Hooke & MacDonald agency.
Bookings will be accepted at an on-site marketing suite which opens for viewing at noon today. Carrington is the title of the new Northwood scheme and there are 70 apartments in the first three blocks on offer in phase one.
Prices are from €315,000 for one-bedroom apartments of 54sq m (580sq ft). Two-beds of 68-74sq m (730-795sq ft) start at €350,000. Three-bedroom penthouses of 91-119sq m (975-1,128sq ft) cost from €515,000. Completions are expected in autumn 2007.
The demesne at Northwood is beautifully planted and a strong selling point at Carrington, with lakeside paths, woodland and gardens.
The new apartment complex is under construction in a prime position, partly enclosed by mature maple and sycamore trees and near the new Crowne Plaza hotel.
Specification by developer P Elliott & Co is good, with curved cream and grey render exteriors, large aluminium and timber windows and gas central heating.
Most units are dual-aspect and glass-walled balconies are a fair size.
Interiors will include Italian-style gloss kitchen units with built-in appliances and granite worktops, fitted wardrobes and wall and floor tiling in kitchens and bathrooms. Underground and surface car-parking is included in the price. Viewing extends from noon today until Sunday.
