Buying in BrusselsIrish developer Thornsett is selling 28 apartments in a new building close to the European Parliament in Brussels. Boniface Square is a handsome scheme in the Ixelles district - the Notting Hill of Brussels, according to the developer - with one and two-bedroom apartments and three and four-bedroom duplexes.

Properties range in size from 60-200sq m (646-2,152sq ft) with most having terraces up to 70sq m (753sq ft). Prices begin at €185,000 and rise to €700,000 for the largest apartment. The development also has a 220sq m (2,368sq ft) ground floor unit for retail or restaurant use. Boniface Square is due for completion in December 2007.

Finish includes parquet flooring and smart kitchens with Smeg appliances. There is underground parking and each unit gets a basement storage unit. Boniface Square is located near Porte de Namur on Place Ste Boniface, approximately 1.5km from the European Parliament and within an easy commute of international schools which are located in the suburbs of Brussels.

Peter McCarthy, CEO of Thornsett Group, says the units are sensibly priced: "We have already had strong interest in the development including some early sales which is very encouraging." Thornsett Group is currently developing around €400 million worth of residential and commercial properties in Ireland, England, Wales and Belgium.  www.thornsettgroup.com
