Property developer Gerry Gannon is seeking permission to build a helicopter hangar close to Dublin Airport.
Gannon is looking for permission to build a 2,728sq m (29,364sq ft) hangar on a site to the rear of the Boot Inn public house on the Naul Road, Cloghran, Co Dublin. The proposed development will comprise a single-storey hangar with 18 parking spaces.
In a separate application he is also looking for permission from Fingal County Council to redevelop the Boot Inn.
The renovation will involve the demolition of the 1960s nightclub adjoining the pub.
Gannon is in the process of seeking permission from Fingal County Council to expand QuickPark, the privately operated car park near Dublin Airport on his land, to 6,000 spaces. A decision on this application is due to be made in July.
