Co Meath/from €440,000: Five four- and five-bedroom detached dormer bungalows go on sale this week with Raymond Potterton of Navan. Named Kildalkey Wood and located in the Co Meath village of Kildalkey, the 23-house scheme will appeal to families wanting to locate out of the city.
Prices range from €520,000 to €580,000 for four-bedroom houses of 213-220 sq m (2,293-2,368 sq ft). One five-bedroom house with 213 sq m (2,293 sq ft) of accommodation costing €440,000 is less expensive because the specification, while good, is not as high as the four-bedroom house types.
Developer Carrignagour and architects BMV Consult have produced a high standard scheme, with a good number of finishes included in the price, particularly in the four-bedroom houses. Zoned central heating means parts of the house can be heated separately. A redwood staircase is installed and one house type has a pine vaulted ceiling in the entrance lobby. Internal doors are solid pine and upstairs floors are varnished timber. Kitchens are good quality, with granite worktops. A Stanley range in a choice of colours controls the central heating system.
Two of the four bedrooms come with en suite bathrooms, both fitted with pump-action showers. In the main bedroom en suite, a bath, separate double shower cubicle and heated towel rail are included. A walk-in wardrobe is also off the main bedroom.
Front and back gardens will be levelled and seeded and fenced.
