Create at Brown Thomas showcases some seriously inspiring work by up and coming designers. The work of textile artist Aoife Mullane (086-267 1334, aoife. mullane. tumblr.com) will work in any home. The modular screens of Chikere Ohoka (086-308 3211, studiochyk.blogspot.com) use simple flat-pack construction kit methodology and can be built in numerous configurations. His Living Wall at Brown Thomas is made using a variety of high quality recycled card- board but plans to work in plywood, sheet metal, recycled plastic and stainless steel. Prices for commissions start at €600.

Another NCAD textile student Naomi Cassidy-Nagle focuses on using recycled materials, in this instance cardboard, in an untypical way to make a statement chair that is a homage to origami techniques.

Part of her Reuse, Recycle, Reclaim, Repurpose graduate collection, the piece, which uses no gluing techniques, costs €2,500.
