Top floor apartments in two different city schemes have plenty of living space and large outdoor terraces to catch the afternoon sun
Dublin 3: from €499,500
Three penthouse apartments in the Lighthouse development on Church Road in East Wall, Dublin 3, have come on the market throught Sherry FitzGerald New Homes priced from €499,500.
As with many city centre schemes that have sold successfully from plans, developers The Collon Group held back the top floor units until the entire scheme was finished so that buyers could see what they were getting and admire the city views from the seventh floor.
The overall development includes 157 one, two and three-bedroom apartments in two blocks, as well as offices, on a site of 3.78 acres, opposite the junction of the Alfie Byrne Road.
With East Point business park close by, and the IFSC within walking distance, it's a good rental location with excellent transport on its doorstep.
The penthouses are spacious with around 84sq m (904sq ft) of living space and terraces of over 27sq m (291sq ft). Inside, they are exceptionally bright thanks to floor-to-ceiling windows that give superb views over the city towards Croke Park.
The high spec finish includes custom designed kitchens complete with integrated electrical appliances - oven, hob, washing machine and fridge freezer.
All bathrooms and en suites are tiled with quality ceramic tiles to floors and walls around baths and shower units.
Each penthouse has the wiring infrastructure to accommodate broadband capabilities and digital television. There is underfloor heating in bathrooms and en suites.
Private underground car-parking spaces are available at an additional €35,000 each.
The Collon Group has been in business for over 100 years and has built a number of landmark buildings in Dublin and around the country including the RDS Main Hall in Ballsbridge, Kylemore Abbey in Connemara and Howth Yacht Club.
It has also completed several successful residential developments in Malahide, Rathfarnham, Glenmalure, Chapelizod, Finglas and East Wall.
The company also has a strong lighthouse connection. It is responsible for maintaining the landmark Poolbeg Lighthouse in Dublin Bay and built the Galway Bay Lighthouse and the Inishowen Lighthouse in Donegal.
