Douglas Newman Good set the record this week by achieving €1.55 million after auction yesterday for The Brambles, Carrickbrennan Road, Monkstown. The six-bedroom detached house had previously been withdrawn at €1.525 million.
Elsewhere in Co Dublin, St Judes on Crosthwaite Park West, Dún Laoghaire, a three-bed semi-d sold at auction for €874,000 through Gunne Residential. A sale has also just been agreed for Galwally, 69 Orwell Park, Rathgar, a six-bedroom house which was withdrawn at auction last week. The final figure achieved by joint agents Sherry FitzGerald and Ganly Walters is believed to be over the withdrawal figure of €3.25 million.
