It shows. The house has presence and solidity but exudes also a lightness, inside and out. It is substantial in size – 316 sq m (3,400 sq feet).
The architect is Colum Ó Broin, a Burnaby resident and award-winning practitioner who took inspiration from the work of Frank Lloyd Wright, with a nod also to the art deco era and the earlier arts and crafts movement that influenced much of the Burnaby.

Floating roofs
Number 6 is slightly larger than next door. Both properties have matching floating roofs, a Lloyd Wright signature, that allow light flood the interior. The exterior is a mix of red brick and stucco and number 6 has four large front-facing bays.
