Johnny Ronan and Richard Barrett will have a fine perch to enjoy the millennium celebrations from, if they succeed in getting planning permission to convert part of the turreted former ICS building on O'Connell Bridge into high-spec apartments. Most of the 15 units will be located in two new storeys which would replace the existing mansard roof at fifth floor level. It seems doubtful that these landmark apartments will ever come on the open market given that the two businessmen are looking for long-term investments rather than a quick kill.
However, they ought to ready well before the year 2000.
