Savills is obviously anticipating continued growth in the Irish property market with an event scheduled in London next month to set out its stall to potential UK-based property buyers.
Its Ireland agents from residential, country, farms and estates will be represented at an evening event from 5pm to 8pm on Thursday, March 15th, at Savills global head office off Oxford Street.
The Irish property showcase will target Irish ex-pats and investors based in London and surrounding areas. It’s the first big event of this type for Savills new Irish head of residential Robbie Dillon, who just returned to Dublin from 10 years working in real estate in London. “I have been through the process of relocating from the UK back to Ireland, so it’s a great opportunity to relay my own experience to those in a similar situation,” he said.
For those who can afford it, doubtless there is value to be had in the country homes and estates market around the country. But for those setting their sights on a Dublin property, given the shortage of available stock and rising prices, let’s hope there won’t be a clamour to buy that could exert even further pressure on an already bubbling market.
