Wednesday, August 31st might mark "game, set and match" for the summer season, but to round it off the 27th Irish Times/Society of Chartered Surveyors Ireland tennis tournament will see 18 teams from across the property industry fight it out for the title.

For the first time in the competition's history, it will be played in Donnybrook Lawn Tennis Club, as the clubhouse of the traditional host, Lansdowne Lawn Tennis Club, is currently being redeveloped.

Firmly in the sights of all teams will be Savills who will be competing for their fourth consecutive victory in the tournament. The well-known professional tennis coach, Jimmy McDonagh, will be the official tournament director and referee on the day.

The organisers – Marcus O'Connor of MFO The Property Professionals, Ken MacDonald of Hooke & MacDonald and Peter Dargan of The Irish Times – are looking forward to serving up success with higher numbers and new venue for this hotly contested tournament.
