The Italian police have once again been gifted a new Lamborghini, but don’t expect them to give chase in it if you break the speed limit in your hired Panda this summer – it’s basically a piece of public relations. The new Huracan LP610-4 was presented to the Italian Polizia di Stato (state police) by Lamborghini’s chairman, Stephan Winklemann, in a ceremony at the state police’s museum of historic vehicles. The police previously had a Gallardo, which was used for PR events and occasionally for high speed organ transplant missions, but it was crashed and damaged some time ago. Presumably the new Huracan will be treated with more care . . .
