DUBLIN: From next Friday to Monday from July 2 to July 5, Queens Rd, Windsor Terrace, Newtownsmith and Park Rd will close 7 p.m. - 7 a.m. for bridge works; alternative route via York Rd, Tivoli Rd, Corrig Rd, Eden Rd Upper and Lower; diversions signposted.

On Friday expect delays from anti-Bush demostrations; a "Critical Mass" cycle to Shannon assembles at Garden of Remembrance at 6 p.m.; a protest assembles there at 7pm.

On-ramp to Red Cow roundabout off Western Parkway from M50 southbound closes for road works from 3 a.m. on Saturday to 5 a.m. on Monday; alternative routes Western Parkway M50 southbound, Ballymount interchange off-ramp, Ballymount interchange over-bridge, Ballymount Interchange/Western Parkway M50 on-ramp northbound, Western Parkway M50 northbound, Red Cow interchange/Naas Rd off-ramp, Naas Rd southbound/northbound; diversion signs; local access at all times.

KILDARE: Budweiser Irish Derby at Curragh this weekend; meeting times - Friday 6 to 9 p.m, Saturday 2.15 to 5.15 p.m., Sunday 1.25 p.m. to 5.45 p.m; expect delays on M7 before and after meetings.

CORK: Works between Millstreet and Lyre Rd for two/three weeks; minor delays. Crosshaven-Carrigaline Rd closed to traffic until next Wednesday; R612-25 Carrigaline-Crosshaven from junction of O'Leary's Cross to junction at Grand Hotel Apartments opened each Friday at 9 p.m. until following Monday at 9 a.m.; alternative routes - southbound from O'Leary's Cross via R612 to Fountainstown to Forge Cross, via Duggan's Cross then via Upper Rd to Crosshaven; northbound via R612(Upper Rd) towards Duggan's Cross then west to Forge Cross then north to O'Leary's Cross and on to Carrigaline.

LIMERICK: New Southern Ring Rd from Annacotty going to Crew Park now open; motorists can now connect to N7, N24, N20 and N21 without going through city; new road to divert over 10,000 vehicles per day from streets of Limerick

TIPPERARY: Works on N7 near Birdhill for another two and a half months; traffic controls in place; significant delays can be expected.
