Routes to avoid around the country
DUBLIN:
Until February 26th, Camden Row is closed to traffic to facilitate road improvements. During the closure westbound traffic along Camden Row is diverting via Camden Street - Pleasants Street - Heytesbury Street. Eastbound traffic on Camden Row is diverting via New Bride Street - Heytesbury Street - Harrington Street - Camden Street.
On the February 4th & 5th , Aughrim Street will close to traffic from 7am to 7pm daily. During the closure traffic on Blackhorse Avenue wishing to access Manor Street is diverting via North Circular Road, Prussia Street. Traffic on Manor Street wishing to access Blackhorse Avenue is diverting via Prussia Street - North Circular Road.
KILDARE:
Until at least February 26th, the Newbridge Inner Relief Rd is operating one-way between Athgarvan Row & Dunnes Stores.
CORK:
On Wednesday February 1st and Thursday February 2nd, there is the possibility of delays on Wilton Road from 7:30pm to 11:00pm because of works.
From Monday February 6th Spring Lane will be one-way outbound from Dublin Street to Ballincollie Road.
From Monday February 6th until Sunday February 12th the road at Ballyleary (LS-7015) between the Tay Road (LP-2993) and Bothar Salac (LP-2994), Cobh, will be temporarily closed. The alternative route is Bothar Salac (LP-2994). Residents will be facilitated.
KERRY:
Motorists can expect delays on the Conor Pass Road due to major road works.
Motorists should use the N86 between Dingle and Camp via Annascaul.
KILKENNY:
Until Friday, February 3rd, temporary traffic lights are in operation on the Callan road N76 from 8am to 5pm. No traffic restrictions at Aughmalogue Bridge, Dublin Road N10 until further notice.
A new set of pedestrian traffic lights are now in operation at the following locations:
- R 700 Castle Road at Kilkenny Castle.
- R 909 College Road at the Statoil garage.
- R 695 Dean Street at St Canice's Church.
- LP 2604 Newpark Drive at Newpark Roundabout.
R 886 Zebra crossing is now in operation at Greens Bridge.
LOUTH:
Until February 10th, road works are in place on the N1 (Dundalk - Newry Rd) south of the Carrickdale Hotel. Restrictions and temporary traffic lights are in operation. Traffic is down to a one-way flow between the hours of 8:00pm and 6:30am.
LIMERICK:
Until mid March, major road works are underway on the Childers Road R509 (between the Parkway roundabout and the Bloodmill Road). Traffic delays may occur during peak traffic periods and motorists should consider avoiding this location between 8:30a.m. to 9:30p.m and 5:00p.m to 6:00p.m Monday to Saturday if possible.
WICKLOW:
Until further notice, work is underway on the construction of a median barrier on the N11 from Fassaroe to Kilmacanogue. The works are being carried out at night-time with both the north and southbound carriageways being affected.
