From March 15th, M1 north and southbound between Whitehall and Coolock Interchange will close every third Wednesday night until March 2005, from 10 p.m. until 5 o'clock on Thursday mornings. This is to facilitate construction work for the Dublin Port Tunnel. All mainstream traffic will be diverted left along Collins Ave and up to Ballymun Rd on the Finglas Rd to the M50, leaving access only to local residents wishing to go to Santry Village.
Until July 2004, there is no hard-shoulder on the south or northbound N11 carriageway from Crinken Lane to Stoney Bridge. The two lanes of traffic on both carriageways going south and north will be narrowed. This is for tie-ins with the M50 South Eastern Motorway with the existing M11.
Traffic is down to one lane inbound on Gardiner St Lower until March 14th to facilitate roadworks. Long delays can be expected particularly during the morning rush hour.
KILDARE: Temporary traffic diversion on the N4 west of Kilcock until mid-July 2004. Westbound traffic will be diverted towards the central reserve via a concrete barrier corridor to make room for the new bridge structure. Eastbound traffic will be slightly moved towards the hard shoulder. Diversions in place while two new bridges on the new Kilcock to Kinnegad By-Pass are built. Minor delays during peak hours may be xperienced.
KILKENNY: Traffic is single lane one-way at The Watergate until June 2004. It will be single lane one way at its junctions with Waterbarrack Lane and Irishtown to junction with Dean Street in a northerly direction (i.e. Parliament Street to Dean Street). This is part of the Broadband works.

WESTMEATH: Works on the N6 Dublin to Athlone Road near Moate, delays are likely.
GALWAY: Major works around Eyre Square affecting Victoria St at Merchant's Road to Victoria Hotel. Vehicles travelling towards the Victoria Hotel side will have to go via Merchant's oad and travel around Forthill Street to approach the area from Queen's Street.
Thus there will be two-way traffic flow in place on Merchant's Road from Victoria Place to Forthill Street and also on Queen's Street, from Forthill Street. All other traffic flow in this area will be as is, except that the two-lanes of traffic on Merchant's Road, heading towards the Square, will converge into one at the turn to Forthill Road.
Tour buses parking at their usual spot at Merchants Road will not be affected but all other parking in this area will be prohibited.
Road surfacing around Flemming's Garage on the Tuam Rd and may cause a slight delay to inbound traffic.
LIMERICK: Emergency traffic restrictions on the middle lane of Patrick St (N20) until further notice. Delays are expected for all southbound traffic through the city centre. These restrictions are as a result of a burst watermain.
