DUBLIN: The St Patrick's Day Funfair is on Custom House Quay today. Custom House Quay closed from Butt Bridge to Matt Talbot Bridge until 6 a.m. tomorrow.

The M1 north and southbound between Whitehall and Coolock Interchange will close every third Wednesday night until March 2005, 10 p.m. until 5 a.m. Thursday, for construction work for Dublin Port Tunnel. Traffic will divert left along Collins Avenue, up to Ballymun Rd on Finglas Rd to M50, leaving access only to local residents.

There is no hard-shoulder on the south or northbound N11 carriageway from Crinken Lane to Stoney Bridge. The two lanes of traffic on both carriageways will be narrowed, for tie-ins with the South Eastern Motorway with the existing M11.

KILDARE: Temporary diversion on N4 west of Kilcock. West traffic diverts towards the central reserve for new bridge structure. Eastbound traffic moves towards hard shoulder, while new bridges on new Kilcock to Kinnegad By-Pass are built. Minor delays. Works on M4 between Kilcock and Lucan to install a central reservation. Lane closure: two lanes of traffic for traffic towards Dublin, 7 a.m. to 9.30 a.m. Monday to Friday and two lanes of traffic for driving away from Dublin, 4 p.m. to 6.30 p.m. Monday to Thursday, 1 p.m. to 7 p.m. Fridays.

KILKENNY: Single lane one-way at The Watergate - at junctions with Waterbarrack Lane & Irishtown to junction with Dean Street in a northerly direction (i.e. Parliament Street to Dean Street). This is part of the Broadband works.

GALWAY: Major works around Eyre Square affecting Victoria St at Merchant's Road to Victoria Hotel. Traffic towards the Victoria Hotel side goes via Merchant's Road and around Forthill Street to approach the area from Queen's Street. The two-lanes of traffic on Merchant's Road, heading to the Square, will converge into one at turn to Forthill Road. Tour buses parking at Merchants Road will not be affected.

LIMERICK: New signals on Henry Street at Cecil Street. New signals at Dublin Rd/St. Patrick's Rd junction. Emergency restrictions on middle lane of Patrick St (N20). Delays expectedforsouthboundtrafficincity centre, as a result of a water main break.

Works on Lord Edward St between entrance to old Sarsfield Barracks and Punches Cross, 9.30 a.m. to 4 p.m.

KERRY: Ivy Terrace/Pearse Rd in Tralee one lane for roadworks. Lower Ashe St is temporarily closed for water mains.

WATERFORD: Lombard St, William St and Newton St are closed from junction with Canada St to junction with Park Rd. Alternative route via Catherine St, Otteran Place, Water St and Park Rd. Anne St closed from junction of Bridge St to Penrose lane.

CORK: Shandon St one-way outbound for Shandon St Urban Renewal Scheme. Works on Boherscrub Road in Buttevant. Works on N71 at Viaduct Dual Carriageway:citybound lane closed.
