Henry Hugglemonster is coming on Friday. The new, preschool animation TV series is created by award-winning Irish author, illustrator and Children’s Laureate Niamh Sharkey and produced by twice Oscar-nominated Brown Bag Films in Dublin for Disney Junior. It will air in more than 150 countries.
The preschoolers’ “guide to life” is based on Sharkey’s series of gorgeous Happy Hugglewug books. Each 11-minute episode brings preschoolers through the ups and downs of Henry’s life and follows the adventures of Henry, “the middle child in a happy, madcap, close-knit monster family”.
Some big voices join the show, including Spice Girl Geri Halliwell and actors Brian Blessed and Brenda Blethyn. Henry Hugglemonster is broadcast in Ireland on UPC on digital channel 616 (Disney Junior) from February 8th at 5:50pm.
