Reformer Pilates takes over

Strap yourself in

Reformer Pilates has taken the country by storm and the latest studio to strap itself in is The Pilates Movement, based in the Yoga Dublin studios in Dún Laoghaire. The machine-based form of Pilates, which relies on straps, pulleys and your own body weight to gently work out the body, takes place in a wonderfully bright and airy studio, overlooking Dublin Bay – a good distraction if you're finding the going a little tough. Teachers include Lauren Bamford and Gary Nethaway (who may even play some background music from his band, the Dirty Epics). As an opening offer, you can get half-price class packages until the end of November, with five classes for €60, 10 classes for €110. The Pilates Movement, 19 Lower George's Street, Dún Laoghaire.
