A woman whose nose was broken when a toilet roll dispenser fell off the wall in a hotel lavatory, has been awarded £10,000 damages.

Ms Linda Enright (37), of Finglaswood Road, Dublin, told her counsel, Ms Patricia Ryan, a large plastic dispenser was positioned high on the wall above and behind a toilet bowl in the Shieling Hotel, Raheny.

Ms Enright said she had gone to the toilet in the hotel and was standing as she turned around and reached for the toilet roll. The holder fell on her and broke her nose, she told Judge Anthony Kennedy in the Circuit Civil Court.
