Johannesburg - Thirteen people were killed in a vehicle pile-up in Johannesburg yesterday, the South Africa Press Association said.
Five people died at the scene when a car overturned and hit an embankment, before bouncing back on to the road, causing a pile-up of cars travelling behind.
A further eight people died in hospital after the crash.
