A £3.6 million reward has been offered for information about the World Trade Centre and Pentagon terror strikes.

The bounty, offered by the US State Department's Diplomatic Security Service, is being offered on the service's website.

Under the banner Mass Murder, the cyber "wanted poster" offers a reward of up to $5 million and witness protection and relocation for anyone who has information about the terrorist attacks.

A similar reward was already on offer for information leading to the capture of the US government's prime suspect, Osama bin Laden, who President Bush has said is "wanted, dead or alive".

The New York Post reports that the security service's website can be found at www.dssrewards.net.
