Beijing - A huge gas explosion in a coal mine in China's southwestern province of Guizhou killed 35 people and seriously injured four, it was reported yesterday.

Three people were missing and six people were slightly injured after the blast ripped through a Hezhang county mine on January 16th, according to the Guizhou Daily.
