Gibraltar - Seven Spanish protesters were arrested yesterday after they rushed into a Moorish castle in Gibraltar, threw down the British flag and raised the Spanish one in its place, Gibraltar police said.

They were being held on suspicion of committing an act likely to breach the peace after the protest at the castle, a symbol of British-ruled Gibraltar.

The protest was organised by the nationalist group, Alianza por la Unidad Nacional, on the 20th anniversary of the introduction of Spain's current -constitution.
