Abidjan - Six Europeans seized by armed gangs in Liberia are believed to be held in one of Africa's most violent zones - the triangle of territory formed by converging areas of Liberia, Guinea and Sierra Leone, which have been engaged interlocking conflicts for nearly a decade. Aid agencies for whom they worked said they had made contact with the abducted group - four Britons, a Norwegian and an Italian.
