A chemical plant in Swords, Co Dublin, is the subject of an anthrax scare, the Garda said.
A Garda spokeswoman said emergency services were attending the scene on Chapel Lane.
The alarm was raised after staff discovered a suspicious white powder this morning. A series of such scares - which later turned out to be hoaxes - closed post offices last year following the September 11th attacks on the United States.
