Hundreds of people protesting against President George Bush and the war in Iraq clashed with police in Atlanta yesterday

Hundreds of people protesting against President George Bush and the war in Iraq clashed with police in Atlanta yesterday. The mainly African-American crowd were objecting to Mr Bush's visit to lay a wreath at the tomb of Martin Luther King Jr to mark what would have been the slain civil rights leader's 75th birthday. Two people were arested as police kept protesters behind barricades of buses.
