Police have appealed for assistance from the public in establishing the circumstances behind the death of a Co Donegal teenager in Derry city.

Caolan Page, aged 19, from the village of Carrigans was found unconscious outside a licensed premises in Magazine Street in Derry early on Saturday morning.

He was brought to Altnagelvin Hospital in the city in a critical condition.

The PSNI said yesterday that Mr Page from the Upper Kildrum area of Carrigans had died.

Police asked for public assistance in establishing how he died. They were particularly anxious to speak to anyone who noticed anything suspicious in the Magazine Street area.
