The PSNI are continuing their appeal for witnesses following the death yesterday of a 14-year-old boy who was struck by a vehicle on the Victoria Road, Carrickfergus, Co Antrim, on Monday.

Clarence Campbell was struck by a black Hyundai vehicle while apparently crossing the road in the Larne Road/Victoria Road junction area shortly before 8am on Monday.

The teenager, from Carrickfergus, was brought to hospital with critical injuries which resulted in his death yesterday.

Police have appealed to witnesses to the collision to contact them at Newtownabbey on 44845-6008000.
