A Fianna Fail TD claimed yesterday that his family had been put at risk following the publication by a Sunday newspaper of the value of his assets, writes Miriam Donohoe, Political Reporter.
The Cork North-Central TD, Mr Noel O'Flynn, told a meeting of the Fianna Fail parliamentary party that it was not so long ago that people in the State were being kidnapped for large ransoms.
According to a list published in Ireland on Sunday, Deputy O'Flynn is the seventh-wealthiest TD, with assets worth £3 million.
