A quantity of explosives recovered in Northern Ireland is being examined by police today.
It was found, along with a rifle and a small quantity of ammunition, at the side of a road in the Upper Springfield Road area of west Belfast.
The road between the Hannastown Road and Monagh Roundabout was sealed off after the find.
The explosives were taken away for forensic examination.
