Beijing - A powerful explosion tore apart a bus in China's north-eastern Liaoning province, killing 18 of the more than 40 passengers on board, the official Xinhua news agency said yesterday.
Police in the city of Linghai said the blast occurred late on Monday evening. Fifteen passengers died instantly and three more died in a local hospital, they said.
