The wedding of Prince of Wales and Camilla Parker Bowles has been blessed in a ceremony at St George's Chapel in Windsor Castle this afternoon.
Before a congregation of 750 family and friends at St George's Chapel in Windsor, the couple vowed to be faithful to each other for the rest of their lives. Camilla appeared to be a little nervous, shaking slightly throughout the service.
But their friends and family in the chapel willed them on, admiring the bride's outfit and showing their
support. Camilla wore a porcelain blue silk dress, overworked with gold thread and an elegant gold feather and crystal head-dress.
As the royal couple entered the chapel just after 2.30pm, their guests craned their necks to catch a glimpse. Many had arrived up to an hour early to enjoy the luxurious surroundings. The 15th century chapel, which is the resting place of 10 monarchs, was delicately decorated with flowers and blossom trees.
Two large floral pedestals stood on either side of the altar, each holding a large white candle. A blossoming apple tree stood on either side of the chapel's West Door, framing the Prince and his bride as they walked out into the blustery cold.
In a rare change of protocol, the Queen followed after her son, accompanied by the Duke of Edinburgh. The Queen was soon followed by Princes William and Harry and the rest of the royal family.
Camilla beamed with happiness as she left the chapel. The Prince looked equally delighted as, dressed in morning suit, he escorted his wife for only the second time.
As they passed their friends and family, the congregation bowed and curtseyed, smiling at the happy couple. One guest said: "Today will make Charles unbelievably happy, it really will."
