Bodies recovered in Galway, Clare

A man's body has been recovered from the sea off Clifden in Co Galway.

A man's body has been recovered from the sea off Clifden in Co Galway.

The body of the man in his 50's was taken from the water by Clifden Lifeboat at Beach Road at around 3.00pm.

Gardaí are not treating the man's death as suspicious.

Meanwhile, the body of a young man who went missing while swimming in the River Fergus in Ennis, Co Clare last night has been recovered

The body was taken to the Mid Western Regional Hospital in Limerick, where a postmortem will be carried out tomorrow.
