Racing: Plans for dual 1000 Guineas heroine Finsceal Beo are on hold after she trailed home last of the six runners in the Irish Champion Stakes on Saturday.

On what was her first attempt at the 10-furlong trip, Jim Bolger's filly never looked dangerous at any stage.

"The filly is fine this morning (Sunday) and nothing showed up so it was just an off-day for her, as I said after the race," said Bolger.

"We'll let things settle for a few weeks and see how she is before making any firm plans but she seems fine in herself this morning."

John Oxx has nominated the Sun Chariot Stakes at Newmarket on October 6th as the next port of call for his luckless filly Arch Swing.

Yet again she met trouble in running and Oxx thinks the interference probably cost her second place in the Matron Stakes on the same card.

"She ran well and without the interference we feel she might have finished second as she was only beaten a couple of necks and got stopped twice," he told the Racing Post.

"The Sun Chariot Stakes at Newmarket is probably her next race as we have always had that race in mind for her."
