The Hague - The UN war crimes court has given the go-ahead to Sarajevo authorities to bring former Muslim dissident leader Mr Fikret Abdic to justice in Bosnia-Herzegovina.

Mr Abdic, a senior member of Bosnia's mainly Muslim presidency at the start of the 1991-95 conflict, broke ranks later and forged links with the Sarajevo government's rivals, the Bosnian Serbs. He declared autonomy in part of north-west Bosnia, centred around Bihac, before being ousted. Mr Abdic, a wealthy businessman, lives in Croatia.
