A shop assistant and her 10-year-old son were threatened by a man with a wheel brace during a robbery of a filling station in Antrim, it emerged today.
The man entered the filling station on the Ballyclare Road in Glengormley, Newtownabbey, at 9.15 p.m. last night.
After issuing threats, he opened the till and made off with a sum of cash. A PSNI spokesman said the shop assistant and her son "were not physically injured but they were severely traumatised".
The man was described as being aged 19-20, between 5ft 11ins and 6ft, and of thin build. Police believe he may have made his getaway in a silver coloured Vauxhall car.
