Olympic cycling:Britain's incredible success in the track cycling continued apace this evening with two more golds and another world at the London 2012 Olympic Velodrome.
In the team pursuit, Ed Clancy, Geraint Thomas, Peter Kennaugh and Steven Burke clocked three minutes 51.659 seconds to triumph by some distance ahead of arch-rivals Australia, who finished with silver in 3:54.581.
The British quartet, who won world championships gold in Melbourne in April, now have successfully defended the title won by Clancy, Thomas, Bradley Wiggins and Paul Manning in Beijing.
New Zealand's Sam Bewley, Marc Ryan, Jesse Sergent and Aaron Gate claimed bronze in 3:55.952, with Russia's Evgeny Kovalev, Ivan Kovalev, Alexey Markov and Alexander Serov finishing fourth (3:58.282).
Clancy's focus will now turn to the six-discipline omnium, which is set to begin on Saturday, but there was another gold for the home fans to celebrate this evening when Victoria Pendleton put the disappointment of disqualification from the women’s team sprint to win the keirin.
China's Guo Shuang claimed silver and Hong Kong's Lee Wai Sze took bronze.
Pendleton produced an impressive amount of power to claim her second Olympic medal four years after winning the individual sprint in Beijing.
She will have the chance to claim a third Olympic medal in the individual sprint starting on Sunday.
