The Irish Cancer Society has criticised the Minister for Finance for not increasing the price of a pack of 20 cigarettes by another 50 pence. "Today's zero increase in the price of cigarettes for the consumer is a major setback," said Ms Norma Cronin of the society. She welcomed the additional £13.5 million funding for cancer services next year.
