A 71-year-old school caretaker has been given a four years suspended sentence by the Central Criminal Court for abusing a 12-year-old student at the St Finbarr's primary school in Cork.

John Healy of School Avenue, Glesheen Rroad, Co Cork, was convicted in July this year of abusing the now 19-year-old girl seven years ago in the school kitchen.
