Celtic's Swedish striker Henrik Larsson has denied reports that he has agreed to join Barcelona or any other club in the summer.
Yesterday, Newcastle manager Bobby Robson said he had ceased attempts to sign the player because he had been informed that Larsson had decided on a new club.
Reports in the Swedish media claimed that Barcelona was the team in question but Larsson insists he has not made a decision about where he will go when he leaves Parkhead in the summer.
"I was sitting at home with a friend watching the football on Sky Sports. Captions from the day's sports news were rolling under the pictures. When I saw Sir Bobby's comments that I'd signed for another club I was completely dumbfounded," Larsson said.
"Neither myself or my agent (Rob Jansen) has had any contact with Newcastle. It's incredible that someone other than myself knows more about my future than I do."
Referring specifically to the Barcelona link, Larsson said: "We haven't held talks with any club. I don't know where I'm going to be playing next season. And that's the truth."
